Sally Cannon began her career interning at Working Woman magazine where she gained inspiration to dress women differently than the navy suits and bow blouses that were the prevailing look at the time. After graduating from F.I.T., Sally assisted at Redbook and Savvy Woman. She went on to become Fashion Editor at New Woman and McCall’s. Parlaying her magazine experience into a successful freelance career, Sally has styled for numerous catalogs and various women’s publications as well as styling magazine covers and feature stories for celebrities. Sally has built an industry-wide reputation for creating beauty and fashion makeover stories, and for casting and styling “real people” models of all shapes and sizes. As a fashion stylist for Rosie, Mode, and Weight Watchers Magazine, Sally was inspired to encourage women of all sizes to step into fashionable wardrobes and think outside the box to develop their own personal style. Her “real women” models took it to the runway with fashion shows for clients such Mode Magazine and Charming Shoppes (Lane Bryant). Sally continues to style for catalogs and e-commerce, as well as satellite media tours and press events. As a corporate stylist, she oversees on-set management of seamstresses, fittings and set stylists.
